In this issue we are pleased to share with you COMMENTS FROM OUR AUDIENCE MEMBERS who attended our “Sir Thomas Allen & CCOHK” concert on 9 March 2006.

Here are comments from some of the audience members

Wonderful choice of music and the baritone Sir Thomas Allen performed to his utmost. I especially liked the playing of “Dives and Lazarus”.

---------- Ms. Sim (Hong Kong Island)

This is the finest singing by far, heard in Hong Kong this year. The orchestra played and accompanied most superbly. I also liked the glamorous gowns the ladies of the CCOHK wore.

---------- Mr. Lock (Happy Valley)

Sir Thomas Allen’s dynamic and melodic voice is absolutely amazing and touching, so much that I can’t find another singer comparable!

---------- Mr. Wong (Tai Koo Shing)

What left the deepest impression on me tonight was Mozart’s “Der vogelfanger bin ich ja” (from the Magic Flute). It was so lively and interesting. Schumann’s “Overture, scherzo and finale Op.52” was also very touching. Fantastic playing. I look forward to enjoying another outstanding performance again next time.

---------- Miss Chow (Tsuen Wan)

The programme was exactly my taste. In the latter half of the concert Sir Thomas Allen’s performance was particularly spontaneous and expressive. He also communicated with the audience. No wonder he is an operatic star. The whole performance was enjoyable and captivating.

---------- Mr. Lam (Kwun Tong)

The pieces chosen were wonderful. We were mesmerized and wished Sir Thomas Allen could sing more. The programme as well as the fabulous singing and charisma of Sir Thomas Allen merged the performers and the audience, resulting in an intimate atmosphere overall.

---------- Mr. Lahe (Sheung Wan)

Congratulations to these six friends, who have each won TWO FREE TICKETS to one of our future concerts. We will be in touch with you soon!
