Internationally renowned bandoneon player Daniel Binelli hails from Argentina and appears all over the world in concert and recital. Having performed on tour with the late Astor Piazzolla, he is considered to be the leading expert of Astor Piazzolla’s music. His solo engagements include solo appearances with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Montréal Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Calgary Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Argentina, the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed frequently with the famed Osvaldo Pugliese Orchestra and with jazz and contemporary music greats such as Paquito de Rivera, Lalo Schifrin, Michael Brecker, Gary Burton and the Dizzy Gillespie Orchestra. Mr. Binelli is a founding member of the widely successful “Orchestango” and “TangoMetropolis” which recently toured Japan, France, Germany, Portugal and Australia. His numerous recordings include one on the Decca label featuring Piazzolla’s concerto for guitar and bandoneon with the Montréal Symphony Orchestra conducted by Charles Dutoit.
