American trumpeter Allen Vizzutti has performed in thirty-five countries and throughout the USA with artists and ensembles such as Chick Corea, Doc Severinsen, the NBC Tonight Show Band, the Army Blues, Chuck Mangione, Woody Herman, the NHK Symphony Orchestra in Japan, the Budapest Symphony Orchestra and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. Accomplished in a multitude of musical idioms, he performs regularly as both a classical and a jazz soloist in the same evening with symphony orchestras in Germany, Japan, Canada and the USA and at festivals and venues such as the Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall, Newport Jazz Festival, Banff Centre for the Performing Arts, Montreaux Jazz Festival, Lincoln Centre and the Aspen Music Festival. His playing is featured on over one hundred motion picture soundtracks including “Back to the Future” and "Star Trek" as well as countless TV shows, commercials and recordings with artists such as Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, Neil Diamond, Chick Corea, the Commodores and Prince. Allen Vizzutti is professor of trumpet at the University of Washington’s School of Music and a Yamaha Performing Artist. His extensive treatises - The Allen Vizzutti Trumpet Method and New Concepts for Trumpet - are published by Alfred Music and have become standard works for trumpet study worldwide.
