The combined sounds of the two-stringed Chinese erhu and the violin make this a rare East-meets-West event. Erhu master Hsin Hsiao-hung and the CCOHK's own concertmaster Ho Hong-ying perform the Hong Kong premiere of Situ Gang's double concerto for erhu and violin. The programme also includes the perennially popular melodies of Mao Yuan and a compelling chamber version of Tan Dun's Oscar-winning soundtrack "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".
