The CCOHK has recorded a NEW CD for children entitled "Sing the Sounds of English":

This is a collection of 27 new songs. There are some sounds in English which we never use in other languages. Because we do not hear them in other languages, they are very difficult to pronounce. There are 26 letters in the English alphabet, but there are 44 sounds (phonemes) we need to learn. These songs contain all the sounds.

"This CD with its imaginative lyrics, beautifully composed melodies and colourful instrumental arrangements offers young listeners an incredibly educational sound-world. Singing is an enjoyable way of reinforcing the sounds of the English language. On this CD, however, young listeners are also exposed to the exciting sounds of real orchestra instruments. This CD features some of the songs in The Magic Jungle such as "SSSS says the Snake" and "Elephants Thudding".
