In this issue we are pleased to share with you COMMENTS FROM OUR AUDIENCE MEMBERS who attended our “Harmonica Americas” concert on 24 May 2008.
Here are the comments:
This was a spectacular performance! I have never seen a harmonica player collaborate with an orchestra before. The playing was perfect.
---------- Miss Mo (Tsuen Wan)
Unforgettable! The concert was absolutely brilliant!
---------- Mr. Ling (Sai Kung)
The harmonica soloist was incredible.
---------- Mr. Ma (Wan Chai)
This concert was very approachable and easy to enjoy with music ranging from classical music to blues. It was worth every penny! The orchestra’s performance was very good. The harmonica and the chamber orchestra blended together well and the sound was beautiful - especially in the George Martin pieces. The melodies are still ringing in my ears ...
---------- Ms. Wong (Tseung Kwan O)
Different languages cause a barrier in this world. However tonight’s concert proves that music is truly a universal language. Harmonica player Robert Bonfiglio even played some Cantonese songs. I felt most fortunate to have the opportunity to hear such wonderful music.
---------- Miss Ho (Wong Tai Sin)
This was a successful concert. Even though the programme focused entirely on twentieth-century music, all the works were easy to listen to and appealed to both refined and popular tastes. Thus everyone in the audience had an enjoyable time. Bonfiglio’s technique was superb and he played with a lot of feeling. He blended well with the orchestra’s harmonious playing.
---------- Miss Lam (Hong Kong Island)
This was both a polished and captivating performance which showed the fruits of many years of music training and professionalism. They were all the best of the best.
---------- Miss Wong (Sha Tin)
Tonight’s performance left me with a very good impression. There was skilful playing and good ensemble work among the performers. Under the leadership of guest conductor Andrew Sewell, the whole concert was passionate and full of emotion.
---------- Miss Cheung (Tsz Wan Shan)
Robert Bonfiglio’s performance was full of passion and his rapport with the chamber orchestra was amazingly harmonious.
---------- Mr. Lin (Ngau Chi Wan)
I am usually bored by pure instrumental music but this concert was exceptional and really nice. The harmonica melodies were especially infectious!
---------- Miss Poon (Tseung Kwan O)
Wonderful! Not only Robert Bonfiglio but the CCOHK too!
---------- Mr. Fu (Tai Po)
Unique soloist and good programme! Very enjoyable.
---------- Mrs. Ho (Sha Tin)
Congratulations to these friends, who have each won TWO FREE TICKETS to one of the CCOHK’s upcoming concerts. We will be in touch with you soon! |
