Snow Corner

Audience feedback from our last "THE SNOWMAN & THE BEAR" concerts in December 2006

The CCOHK staged the Hong Kong debut of "The Snowman & The Bear" in December 2003 and a re-run in December 2006 to packed houses. Some of the comments given by the audience members who attended the performances in 2006 are given below:

The music and the movies are so captivating. The voices of the boy and girl are so beautiful. They sang really well. This is a concert that should be held every year.

---------- Ms. Chan (Quarry Bay)

I am really happy. It has been a feast with animations and live music.

---------- Miss Tam (Tuen Mun)

The performance was amazing! It started off with Harry Wong's amusing introduction of "The Bear" which captured the children's attention. I especially enjoyed Jonathan Douglas' narration of "The Snowman". His loud, clear and enthused voice really brought the story alive! I also enjoyed the wonderful performance by the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong!

---------- Miss Lo (Shouson Hill)

It was great! I really liked the organization of the concert with the movie, narrator, voices and orchestra. Very energetic and nice to listen and see! The children singers performed so well!

---------- Miss LeGool (Stanley)

An exhilarating Christmas treat for all the family, young and old!

---------- Miss O'Connor (Mid-Levels)

Fabulous! Perfect for young children. We need more concerts like this for young children.

---------- Mr. Ridley (Pokfulam)

I thought it was wonderful! It was very exciting when "The Snowman" and the boy flew up into the air.

---------- Master Pang (Tai Wai)

Really fun and inspiring for my children.

---------- Mrs. Mito (Sha Tin)

Good combination of interesting stories, enjoyable music and lively presentation from Harry Wong and Jonathan Douglas. Well done. Excellent!

---------- Miss Fung (Sha Tin)

What a fantastic show! It's the first time I have experienced live music played simultaneously with an animated film. Certainly it has created an hour of joy and delight for kids and adults alike.

---------- Ms. Lam (Hung Hom)

This was an excellent multi-media performance. It was also a great way to introduce orchestral music to young listeners. The very able and talented narrators made the show enjoyable.

---------- Mr. Shono (Tai Tam)

This is a good time for such a performance before Christmas. I am glad to see families coming to this concert, adults and children enjoying the films, the songs and the beautiful music. Jonathan and Harry were great story-tellers. The boy and girl sopranos were marvellous. I love "The Snowman". It was a great afternoon indeed.

---------- Miss Cheng (Pokfulam)

An exhilarating, heartwarming and nostalgic experience for family, adults and children alike. Would like to see it again next Christmas.

---------- Dr. Leung (Discovery Bay)

On 5 and 6 December the concert versions of these two winter-time classics will be re-run in English along with the animated films. Don't miss the chance to hear and see The Snowman & The Bear with the whole family!
